More than twenty bags of plastic, glass bottles, wood and metal pieces, nets and discarded fishing gears have been collected and recycled from the beach clean-up in Malta last Saturday. The event was organized by Żibel and AquaBioTech Group in collaboration with the European Commission in the initiative of “Bringing European Maritime Day to Your Country” and the “EU Green Week”. The TAPAS team volunteered for cleaning the sea and the surrounding area to conserve the marine habitat and to avoid further pollution and damages in marine wildlife.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 678396.
