A video produced by Euronews English, which highlights the Hungarian Carp pond case study, has been released. In this video see the work being done as part of the EU TAPAS project on extensive aquaculture ponds by Dr Arpad Ferincz and his team at Szent István Egyetem – SZIE. The work emphasises the carrying capacity and environmental impacts of the pond systems and how the results from these studies are used to develop and test computer models and tools for more effective aquaculture management and regulation in the EU. This is one of eight case studies used by the TAPAS project throughout Europe, which will provide data for development and testing of the Aquaculture Sustainability Toolbox decision support system. http://www.euronews.com/2018/05/07/testing-the-water-how-to-make-fish-farming-more-sustainable
